OUR HARBOURS

Porpoise Harbour Marina Complex - PEHA

 

Located in the District of Port Edward and is the home of our Head Office, and functions as the North Coast Hub for Commercial Fishing. Also known as Port Ed Harbour, it is the largest of our sites due to the extensive uplands area. Accommodating commercial and recreational vessels with 2,101.5 metres of lit timber decked floats with power, fresh water, and a vessel pump-out station.

This site can safely moor vessels up to 60m in length. Porpoise has two power hoists, Hiab, forklifts, and hand carts to assist in all loading and unloading needs. Upland storage, a dry dock vessel repair area that is serviced by a 35-ton travel lift, net storage, net repair racks, ample warehouse, locker rentals, and industrial equipment.

Two drive-on floating wharves (booking required) and onsite permit parking for up to 100 vehicles. Three off-loading tenants – Crab, Salmon, Geoducks, Prawns, Urchins, Cucumbers.

Fairview

 

Located in the City of Prince Rupert at the foot of Gore Road, between the Alaska and BC Ferry and the Port of Prince Rupert. This is our most protected harbour which attracts our larger vessels, Crabbers, Seiner, Draggers, Trollers, Saam Towage, Coast Guard and Pilotage

This harbour is split into North and South Fairview, a total of 1639.44 metres of lit, timber-decked floats with shore power available.

Fairview #1 – North Fairview, is the closest to the ferry, it offers 873.14 metres of lit, timber-decked floats with shore power and water. The Harbour Office is located at the top of the wharf and is open Monday to Friday. In June, July, and August, the office is open 7 days a week.

Permit short-term parking, men’s and ladies’ washrooms, a shower room and laundry are available at the top of the ramp beside the Coast Guard Station.

Cowbay

 

Located in the City of Prince Rupert, close to downtown, tucked between the Cowbay Marina and the Prince Rupert Rowing and Yacht Club, Cowbay offers 139.5 metres of timber decked floats.

This harbour is typically used for our shorter stays (picking up groceries, stopping in town for appointments) as there is no water or power. Equipped with a drive-on wharf to load and unload your supplies and a garbage bin at the top of the ramp.

Rushbrook

 

Located in the City of Prince Rupert at the north end of George Hills Way, within walking distance to downtown, Rushbrook offers 1249.5 meters of lit, timber-decked docks with fresh water and shore power. Vehicle pay parking is available through the kiosk on site and managed by the City of Prince Rupert.

This is the third largest of our sites and attracts up to 300 vessels (rafted of various sizes) that are both commercial and recreational. The Harbour Office is at the base of the wharf and is open Monday to Friday from September to May. In June, July, and August, the office is open 7 days a week.

This location has men’s and ladies’ washrooms, a token-operated shower room, onsite garbage for vessel refuse, an oil bin, a fire suppression system, and trained staff onsite.
